You did well by calling the asshole of the week. i think that was a good move... people get so caught up in bbm and texting that they establish poor communication from the beginning....alot of back and forth-ness that is not necessary..
as for you voice mail i think there was a little bit of pressure...
A better message would of been:
hey its______we met early this week just wanted to touch base with you and see how your week is going...
as for why she didn't pick up or call back:
1 She was feeling brave that day and felt like hollering but after some thought she felt a bit embarrassed and decided to leave it alone.
2. Not everyone listens to there messages so its possible that she hasn't heard it
3. Back Burner or she is preoccupied with something else.

Definitely feel that! I can agree on the sudden bravery then second guessing it. Happens to the best of them! I agree with #2 also. I have had a full voicemail for the longest right now. So long Im actually afraid to listen to them.
